Astana Medical University may be a higher-education medical university placed in capital of Kazakhstan, the capital of Kazakhstan. AMU was based in 1964. Within the past, the University was named by many alternative names. Within the year 1997, the university was named as Akmolinsk State Medical Academy. However, in 2009, the institute was renamed as capital of Kazakhstan Medical University. AMU entered into the structure of the National Medical Holding by the Govt of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
